Privacy Policy

Effective Date: December 23, 2025

Introduction

Welcome to Swaip, operated by Illya Kaminskyi ("we," "our," or "us"). We are committed to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application and related services (collectively, the "Service"). Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. If you do not agree with the terms of this Privacy Policy, please do not access or use the Service.

Summary: Key Privacy Points (Apple App Store)

Swaip helps you create social media posts and other content: you provide input (e.g. text or voice), and we use AI to generate draft content for you. In line with Apple's App Store guidelines and our commitment to minimal data handling:

  • We do not store your generated posts, drafts, or the content you create in the app on our servers. That content is stored only on your device (local storage).
  • We do not retain your prompts or AI-generated output on our systems. Your input is processed in real time (or temporarily during the request) to produce the result and return it to you; we do not keep copies.
  • We store only minimal data necessary to operate the service: for example, account identification (e.g. from Sign in with Apple), subscription status, and optional anonymized or aggregated analytics to improve the app. We do not sell your personal information or use it for third-party advertising.
  • This policy is designed to comply with Apple's App Store Review Guidelines and App Privacy requirements. Our data practices are transparent and limited to what is needed to provide and improve the Service.

Information We Collect

Information You Provide to Us

Account Information

  • Name: Collected when you create an account or authenticate via third-party sign-in (e.g., Apple Sign In or LinkedIn OAuth).
  • Email Address: Collected when you sign up or authenticate (required for certain sign-in methods like Apple or LinkedIn).
  • Third-Party ID: If you authenticate through Apple Sign In, we collect your Apple-provided user ID. If you authenticate through LinkedIn, we collect your LinkedIn profile ID or a unique identifier provided by LinkedIn.

Content and Usage Data

  • Generated Content: When you create or generate content (e.g. prompts, notes, posts) in the app, that content is stored only on your device. We do not store your prompts, generated posts, or created content on our servers; we process your input only temporarily to generate and return the result to you.
  • Voice Recordings: Audio you provide for transcription is processed temporarily for voice-to-text and is not stored on our servers after the transcription is complete.
  • Preferences: Your content generation settings, format preferences, and style guidelines that you save in the app for personalized content creation.
  • LinkedIn URLs (Content Examples): If you provide LinkedIn post or profile URLs as examples for content generation, we collect those URLs to fetch and analyze the publicly available content for style mimicry or analysis. (Similarly, if you provide any other external content URLs for analysis, we collect those for processing.)

Information Automatically Collected

Device Information

  • Device ID: A unique identifier associated with your device. This is used to create an anonymous account if you choose not to sign up with an email or third-party account.
  • Device Details: Information about your device such as the device model, operating system version (e.g. iOS version), and app version. This helps ensure compatibility and proper functionality.
  • App Version and Settings: The version of Swaip you are using and your in-app settings, which help us troubleshoot and improve the Service.

Analytics Data

  • Usage Patterns: Information on how you interact with the app (e.g., which features or screens you use, and in what sequence).
  • Feature Usage: Data on which features or tools you use most frequently, to help us understand user engagement.
  • Performance Metrics: Technical data such as crash reports, error logs, and response times to help us identify and fix issues.
  • Session Data: Session duration, frequency of use, and other aggregate usage metrics. This data is generally collected in an anonymized form and helps us improve the Service.

Information from Third-Party Services

Payment and Subscription Information

  • Apple In-App Purchases: If you make purchases or subscribe to premium features through Apple's App Store, we receive transaction information such as purchase receipts and subscription status. These transactions are processed by Apple, and we do not receive or store your full payment card details. We only retain data about your subscription status (e.g., whether a subscription is active, in trial, or expired and the type of subscription).
  • LinkedIn Integration: If you choose to connect your LinkedIn account or provide LinkedIn content links, we may receive certain information from LinkedIn (according to their privacy settings and policies). For example, if you use LinkedIn to authenticate, we obtain your name, email, and public profile URL from LinkedIn. We do not post anything to your LinkedIn without your permission; any LinkedIn data is used solely to enhance your experience in our Service.

(Note: We do not collect payment information directly. Payments are handled by third-party app store providers like Apple. Similarly, if you use third-party login providers such as Apple or LinkedIn, we adhere to those services' authentication processes and only collect the data necessary to facilitate login and provide our Service.)

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for various purposes, including:

Provide and Maintain Our Service

  • Account Management: To create and maintain your user account, whether you sign in anonymously via device ID or through Apple/LinkedIn.
  • Content Generation: To enable and facilitate AI-driven content generation across multiple platforms or formats as you require (for example, helping draft notes, posts, or other text content).
  • Voice Transcription: To process voice inputs and convert them to text using our transcription service (e.g., via OpenAI Whisper API) so you can generate text notes from speech.
  • External Content Analysis: To analyze content from external sources you provide (such as LinkedIn post URLs) in order to tailor or inspire generated content. For instance, if you provide example posts, our Service may analyze those to produce content in a similar style.
  • App Functionality: To ensure the app's core features function properly, including syncing your content across devices (if applicable), and providing customer support.

Improve and Personalize Your Experience

  • Personalization: To remember your saved preferences (like tone, style guidelines, or format settings) so that we can personalize content suggestions and the user interface for you.
  • Content Suggestions: To provide you with tailored content ideas or templates (for example, suggesting post topics or note outlines based on your usage or stated interests).
  • Model Optimization: To choose the most appropriate AI model or service for generating your content, based on the type of content or your past usage, in order to improve relevance and quality.
  • User Feedback: To solicit feedback and understand your satisfaction, which helps us refine features and fix pain points in the user experience.

Communication

  • Service Updates: To send you important updates about the Service, such as changes to features, security alerts, or policy updates. These communications are typically transactional or related to the functioning of the app.
  • Subscription Notices: To inform you of changes in your subscription status, upcoming renewals, expiration reminders, or any issues with payment (if you are a subscriber).
  • Promotional Communication: (If applicable) To send you newsletters, offers, or promotions about new features or products you might be interested in. (You will have the option to opt out of marketing communications.)
  • Support Responses: To respond to your inquiries, troubleshoot problems, or notify you about the resolution of support tickets and requests you've submitted.

Analytics and Performance

  • Performance Monitoring: To monitor and analyze app performance, load times, and usage to ensure the Service is running smoothly and efficiently for all users.
  • Feature Usage Analysis: To understand which features are most used or useful to our users, helping guide our future development efforts and resource allocation.
  • Bug and Issue Tracking: To detect, investigate, and fix bugs or crashes. For example, we may use error tracking services (like Sentry) to get real-time reports of app crashes associated with certain devices or actions.
  • Aggregated Insights: To produce aggregated insights about how the app is used (not identifying any individual user) which can be shared internally or with partners to improve our Service.

Legal and Security

  • Legal Compliance: To comply with applicable laws, regulations, legal processes, or enforceable governmental requests. For instance, retaining transaction records for accounting and legal compliance.
  • Fraud Prevention: To detect and prevent fraudulent activities, spam, misuse of the Service, or other illegal activities. This includes enforcing our Terms of Service and preventing abuse of our APIs or content generation (such as generating disallowed content).
  • Security Monitoring: To secure our systems and protect your information – for example, by monitoring login attempts to detect potential unauthorized access, and by using tools to prevent DDoS attacks or other malicious activities.
  • Enforce Agreements: To enforce our agreements and policies, including investigating potential violations of our Terms or this Privacy Policy and, if necessary, taking action on accounts that violate them.

Data Processing Services

To provide the Service's functionalities, we rely on several third-party data processing services. These service providers process data on our behalf for specific purposes as described below. We ensure that any third-party we engage is bound by strict confidentiality and data protection obligations consistent with this Privacy Policy.

AI Content Generation

We use AI services to facilitate content generation in the app. Specifically:

  • Post Text and Description Generation: When you use the post creation feature, you provide a topic for your post. This topic is sent as a prompt directly to the OpenAI API, which generates the post text and description for you. OpenAI processes your prompt to produce the content and returns it to your device. Per OpenAI's API data usage policies, data submitted via the API is not used to train OpenAI's models and is not retained by OpenAI beyond the processing of your request.
  • General AI Content Generation: We also use the OpenRouter API (a gateway to various AI models) for other content generation tasks. When you submit a prompt or request AI-generated content, your prompt and necessary context may be sent to OpenRouter's servers, which then route it to an appropriate AI model (such as those provided by OpenAI or other model providers). OpenRouter processes your content to generate a response but does not store your prompts or generated content permanently.

In all cases, the generated content (post text, descriptions, or other outputs) is returned to your device and stored locally only. We do not retain copies of your topics, prompts, or generated outputs on our servers.

Voice Transcription

Voice recordings that you create for transcription are processed using the OpenAI Whisper API (an automated speech-to-text service). When you use the voice input feature:

  • The audio recording is uploaded securely to the transcription service for processing.
  • The recording is used only to generate a text transcription and is not stored on our servers beyond this temporary processing period.
  • Immediately after transcription is completed and the text result is returned to our app, the audio file is deleted from the transcription service. We do not store the audio, and it is not used to train or improve any AI models.

LinkedIn Content Analysis

When you provide a LinkedIn URL (such as a link to a public LinkedIn post or profile) for the purpose of content inspiration or analysis:

  • We utilize a scraping and analysis service (for example, Apify or a similar data extraction tool) to fetch the publicly available content from that URL. This might include the text of a LinkedIn post, engagement metrics, or profile information that is visible publicly.
  • The fetched data is then analyzed by our system (or by an AI model via OpenRouter) to understand content structure, tone, and style.
  • We use this analysis to generate content or suggestions that align with the example provided. The data from the LinkedIn URL is not stored permanently in personally identifiable form; it is used in-session for generation purposes and then discarded, except for anonymized patterns or insights (which wouldn't identify you or the LinkedIn content owner).

(Note: Ensure that you have the right to share any third-party content with us for analysis. We only access content from URLs you explicitly provide, and we treat it in accordance with this policy.)

Analytics and Usage Tracking Services

To better understand how our users interact with Swaip and to maintain high quality of service, we use several analytics and monitoring tools:

  • Firebase Analytics: Provides aggregated, anonymous statistics about app usage (e.g., number of users, session lengths, device models). This helps us understand overall usage patterns without identifying individual users.
  • Mixpanel: Helps us analyze user behavior in the app, such as which features are used most. Mixpanel may use unique identifiers to track events within the app, allowing us to improve user flows and feature design.
  • RevenueCat: Manages subscription purchases and in-app purchase analytics. We use RevenueCat to handle subscription status across devices and platforms. It provides insight into subscription events (like start of free trial, conversion to paid, cancellations) without exposing your personal payment details.
  • Sentry: An error tracking and performance monitoring tool. Sentry captures technical details when the app experiences a bug or crash (such as device type, stack traces, and OS version) so we can diagnose and fix issues quickly. It does not collect personal content from your notes or any unrelated data—only information relevant to the error.

Each of these services only has access to the data necessary for their function and all are governed by their own privacy policies and applicable data protection laws. We do not share more data with these providers than is needed, and where possible, data is aggregated or anonymized before processing.

Data Storage and Security

Where We Store Data

  • User-generated and AI-generated content (posts, drafts, prompts): Your generated posts, drafts, and the content you create in the app are stored only on your device (local storage). We do not store this content on our servers. When you use the AI generation feature, your input is sent to our processing systems only for the duration of the request to produce the output; we do not retain copies of your prompts or generated content on our systems. Our AI providers process data only to fulfill the request and do not store your content after the response is delivered.
  • Minimal server-side data: On our servers we store only the data necessary to operate the service: account identifiers (e.g. from Sign in with Apple), subscription status, and optionally anonymized or aggregated analytics. We do not maintain a copy of your created or generated content on our infrastructure.
  • Cloud infrastructure: Where we do store data (e.g. account and subscription-related data), we use secure cloud providers that adhere to high security standards. We may use servers in the United States, the European Union, or other jurisdictions, and we implement appropriate safeguards to protect your data.
  • Data encryption in transit: All data transmitted between your device and our servers (and between our servers and third-party services) is encrypted using industry-standard protocols such as SSL/TLS.
  • Sensitive data on device: Authentication tokens and similar sensitive data are stored securely on your device. On iOS we use the iOS Keychain for this purpose. We do not receive or store your Apple ID password.

Data Retention

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. Specifically:

  • Account Data: Account-related information (such as your name, email if shared via Sign in with Apple, and account identifiers) is kept as long as your account is active. If you delete your account or it remains inactive for an extended period, we will delete or anonymize this data in accordance with our retention practices, except where we are required to retain it by law.
  • Generated Content: We do not store your generated posts, drafts, or created content on our servers. That content exists only on your device (local storage). You can delete it at any time from within the app. We do not retain copies of your prompts or AI-generated output on our systems after the request is completed.
  • Voice Recordings: Raw audio from the voice transcription feature is not stored on our servers. It is processed only to produce a text transcription and is then discarded. Any resulting text that you save becomes part of your local content on your device, which we do not store on our servers.
  • Analytics Data: Analytics and usage data is typically collected in an aggregated or anonymized form. We may keep aggregated analytics indefinitely for internal analysis. Any analytics data that is tied to a unique identifier (like a device ID or user ID) is anonymized or deleted once it's no longer needed for our analysis. In general, we periodically review and purge identifiable analytics logs.
  • Transaction and Subscription Data: Subscription records (like purchase receipts or subscription status from Apple) are retained for accounting, tax, and compliance purposes as required by law. If you cancel a subscription, we will retain a record of the transaction as long as necessary for financial reporting and then delete or anonymize it as appropriate.

Security Measures

We take the security of your personal information seriously and employ a variety of technical and organizational measures to protect it:

  • Encryption: In addition to encryption in transit, we also encrypt sensitive data at rest (stored on our databases or servers) whenever feasible. This means that even if our data storage were compromised, the data would not be easily accessible.
  • Access Controls: Personal data is accessible only to a limited number of authorized personnel who need access to perform their duties (for example, customer support or engineers diagnosing specific issues). Access to administrative interfaces and databases is protected by strong authentication and is logged for security auditing.
  • Security Testing and Audits: We regularly update our application and backend services with security patches. We also conduct periodic security audits and penetration testing (internally or using third-party experts) to identify and address potential vulnerabilities.
  • Secure Development Practices: Our development process follows best practices for secure coding to minimize bugs and vulnerabilities. For example, we use parameterized queries to prevent SQL injection, and we sanitize inputs to prevent security issues.
  • Third-Party Vetting: Before integrating any third-party service or API, we review their security and privacy practices. We choose industry-leading providers (like those listed in Analytics Services above) with strong security track records. We also execute data processing agreements where appropriate to ensure they handle personal data with care and legal compliance.

While we strive to protect your information, no system can be 100% secure. Therefore, we encourage you also to take precautions, such as using a strong unique password for your account and keeping your device secure. If you have reason to believe that your interaction with us is no longer secure (for example, if you suspect that your account has been compromised), please contact us immediately using the contact information below.

Your Rights Under GDPR

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom, you are entitled to certain rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) regarding your personal data. We are committed to facilitating the exercise of these rights:

  • Right of Access: You have the right to request confirmation of whether we are processing your personal data, and if so, to request a copy of the personal data we hold about you. We will provide you with a copy of your data in a common electronic format, usually within 30 days of your request.
  • Right to Rectification: If any personal data we have about you is inaccurate or incomplete, you have the right to request correction or completion. You can also update some of your account information directly through the app's settings.
  • Right to Erasure: You have the right to request deletion of your personal data when it is no longer necessary for us to retain it, or if you believe it's being processed unlawfully. This is sometimes called the "right to be forgotten." We will honor valid deletion requests and will also direct any third-party service providers to delete your data, provided we have no legal obligation to retain it. (Note: We may not be able to delete data that is required to fulfill our legal obligations or defend legal claims, but we will inform you if this is the case.)
  • Right to Restrict Processing: You can ask us to restrict or suspend processing of your personal information in certain circumstances — for example, if you contest the accuracy of the data or object to us processing it. When processing is restricted, we will still store your data but will not use it further until the issue is resolved (unless you consent or further processing is legally required).
  • Right to Data Portability: You have the right to request your personal data in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format so that you can transmit it to another service provider. Where technically feasible, and upon request, we can also transmit this data directly to the other provider for you. Typically, this would apply to data you have provided to us (for example, your account details and content).
  • Right to Object: You have the right to object to our processing of your personal data in certain situations. For instance, you can object to processing done for direct marketing purposes (and if you do, we will stop such processing immediately). If we are processing your data based on legitimate interests, you may object and we will reconsider the use of your data unless we have compelling legitimate grounds that override your rights or if needed for legal claims.
  • Right to Withdraw Consent: In cases where we rely on your consent to process personal data (such as for optional marketing communications), you have the right to withdraw that consent at any time. Withdrawing consent will not affect the lawfulness of any processing we conducted prior to your withdrawal, and it will not affect processing of your personal data under other legal bases.

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at info@swaip.ai. We may ask you to verify your identity before fulfilling such requests to ensure that your personal data is not disclosed to someone other than you. We will respond to your request within the time frame required by the GDPR (typically within one month, with the possibility of extension in certain complex cases).

Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We only share your information in a few specific situations, and always with appropriate safeguards and only to the extent necessary for the purpose. These situations include:

Service Providers

We share certain data with trusted third-party service providers who perform functions and provide services on our behalf. For example:

  • Authentication and User Accounts: If you choose a third-party login method, the authentication process is handled by that third party (e.g., Apple for Sign in with Apple, or LinkedIn for OAuth login). We receive from them the data mentioned in Account Information above to create or log you into your account.
  • Cloud Hosting Providers: We may use cloud computing providers to host our application and database (these providers store data on our behalf under strict security controls).
  • Analytics and Monitoring: As discussed, we use analytics providers like Firebase, Mixpanel, RevenueCat, and Sentry. These providers process usage data, event data, and crash reports for the purposes described in Analytics and Performance. They act on our instructions and do not use your data for their own purposes.
  • AI and Data Processing: We send prompts and content to OpenRouter (for AI generation) and voice snippets to OpenAI's Whisper service (for transcription). These providers process data for us and return results. They are not permitted to use your data beyond the scope of providing the service we've requested (and as noted, they do not retain your content). Similarly, Apify or a similar service may process a URL you provide to retrieve content; it acts as a tool on our behalf.
  • Payment and Subscription Services: Apple (App Store) and our subscription management partner (such as RevenueCat) will process payments or subscription validations. Apple handles your payment information securely, and we only receive confirmation of purchase and subscription status.

Each of these third parties is given only the information necessary to perform their specific service, and we contractually require them to protect your information and use it only for the purposes we outline.

Legal Requirements

We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities. This means we will share data when we in good faith believe it's necessary to comply with a legal obligation, such as:

  • In response to a court order, subpoena, or other legal process.
  • To comply with regulations or governmental requests (which might include lawful requests by law enforcement).
  • To address or enforce legal rights and remedies, protect against legal liabilities, or investigate/prevent illegal activities such as fraud.

In each case, we will review such requests carefully and only provide the minimum data necessary to fulfill the legal requirement. When permissible, we will also notify you of such requests.

Business Transfers

If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing due diligence, reorganization, bankruptcy, receivership, sale of company assets, or transition of service to another provider, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We would only transfer your data under the condition that the receiving party agrees to respect your personal information in a manner consistent with our Privacy Policy. You would be notified via email and/or a prominent notice in our Service of any change in ownership or uses of your personal information, as well as any choices you may have regarding your personal information as a result of the transfer.

Consent and Direction

We may share your information with third parties if you explicitly request or direct us to do so. For example, if in the future our app allows you to export or share content to another platform (like posting a generated note directly to LinkedIn or another service), we will do so only with your consent and at your initiation. Any such integration will be clearly explained and will require your action to execute.

Other than the scenarios above, we will not share your personal information with any third parties. No advertisers, no unrelated analytics companies beyond what's stated, and no data brokers. Your data is used solely to provide and improve Swaip for you.

Children's Privacy

Our Service is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you are under 13, please do not use the Service or provide any information to us. If we learn that we have inadvertently collected personal data from a child under 13, we will take prompt steps to delete such information from our records. If you are a parent or guardian and you believe that your child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at info@swaip.ai so that we can investigate and take appropriate action. (For residents of certain jurisdictions, such as the EEA, where different age thresholds may apply (e.g., 16 for consent), we will adhere to those requirements as well. We do not knowingly collect data from minors not of the age to consent to data processing in their region.)

International Data Transfers

Swaip is a global service, and as such, your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence. These countries may have data protection laws that are different from (and potentially less protective than) the laws of your jurisdiction. Specifically, our primary servers may be located in the United States and other locations as we utilize cloud providers, and our development and support teams might operate in various countries. However, we take steps to ensure that your personal information receives an adequate level of protection in the jurisdictions where it is processed. For example:

  • If we transfer personal data from the EEA or UK to outside those regions, we rely on appropriate legal mechanisms such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or other approved transfer mechanisms to ensure your data rights are protected.
  • Our third-party service providers (like those listed above) are also vetted for their data protection practices. If they process EEA/UK data outside those regions, we ensure they have adequate safeguards in place (for instance, many of them participate in international frameworks or have SCCs in their terms).
  • Regardless of where your data is processed, we will always handle it in accordance with this Privacy Policy. Our internal policies ensure a consistent level of protection and we train our staff on data security and privacy.

By using the Service, you acknowledge that your information may be transferred to our facilities and those third parties with whom we share it as described in this policy. If you have questions about international data transfers or require more specific information about our transfer mechanisms, you can contact us at info@swaip.ai.

Your Choices

We believe it's important for you to have control over your personal data. Here are some of the choices and options available to you regarding how your data is collected and used in the Service:

  • Account Information: You can review and update certain personal information (such as your name or email) directly within the app's account settings (if you have an account with us). Keeping your information up-to-date helps us serve you better (for example, using a current email for important notifications).
  • Anonymous Usage: If you prefer not to provide an email or use Apple/LinkedIn to sign in, you have the option to use Swaip without a formal login. In this case, your account will be associated with a device-specific ID rather than personal identifiers. Keep in mind, however, that using the app anonymously might limit some features (for example, if you delete the app without an account, you may lose your saved content).
  • Providing Content Examples: If you choose to use features like content analysis (e.g., providing a LinkedIn URL for analysis), it's your choice what links or content to share. If you have privacy concerns about third-party content, you can opt not to use that feature.
  • Marketing Communications: If we send you promotional emails (for example, announcing new features or tips), you can opt out at any time by clicking the "unsubscribe" link in those emails. Note that you will still receive transactional or important service-related emails (like password resets or critical notices) even if you opt out of marketing messages.
  • Mobile Device Permissions: The app may request certain permissions from your device, such as microphone access for voice notes. You can choose to grant or deny these permissions. If you grant permission and later change your mind, you can revoke the permission in your device's settings. Keep in mind that some features may not function without the appropriate access (for instance, voice input won't work without microphone access).
  • In-App Settings: We may provide toggles or settings within the app for certain features. For example, we plan to introduce an Analytics Opt-Out option in settings that allows you to disable our collection of analytics data from your usage (other than essential data needed for the app to function). Once available, you can enable that to limit data sent to our analytics providers.

Data Deletion

You have the right to request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time. If you wish to delete your data:

  • In-App Account Deletion: If available, you may use an in-app option to delete your account, which will initiate the erasure process automatically.
  • Contact Support: Alternatively, you can send a request to us at info@swaip.ai expressly stating that you want your account and data deleted. Please include sufficient information for us to identify your account (for example, the email or username associated with the account, or your device ID if you used an anonymous account).

Upon receiving a verified deletion request, we will:

  • Remove or anonymize personal information from our active databases. This includes your profile information and any content you've created (unless you've shared content that others have saved; for example, if in the future the app allows content sharing, we cannot delete copies stored in someone else's account).
  • Instruct third-party processors to delete any data they hold that is associated with your account (for example, analytics identifiers or cached content on OpenRouter's servers).
  • Retain certain information if necessary for legal obligations or internal purposes. For instance, we may keep a record of that a deletion occurred (time and user ID) or retain financial transaction logs as required for audits/taxes. Any such retained data will be secured and isolated from routine use.

We aim to complete the deletion process promptly, and will confirm with you once your request has been fulfilled. During deletion processing, your account will be deactivated and inaccessible. Please note: deletion is irreversible. If you delete your account and later wish to use Swaip again, you will need to create a new account and your previous data (including any content or preferences) will not be available.

Analytics Opt-Out

We understand that some users may not want any analytics tracking. While we always keep analytics data anonymous or aggregated, we respect your choice:

  • We are working on adding an Analytics Opt-Out toggle in the app settings. Once this feature is live, you will be able to turn it on to stop the sharing of your usage data with analytics services like Firebase and Mixpanel. Essential operational data (like required info for cloud sync or subscription verification) will still be collected, but optional analytics will be stopped.
  • If you enable this option, we will also cease using your data for any A/B testing or product improvement analyses beyond what is necessary for running the service.
  • If you have any questions or need to manually opt-out before the in-app option is available, you can contact us at info@swaip.ai and we can apply an opt-out for your account at the server level. This might involve flagging your device or account in our system to exclude it from analytics.

Apple App Store Compliance

Swaip is distributed exclusively through the Apple App Store. Our data practices are designed to comply with Apple's App Store Review Guidelines and App Privacy requirements. We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your data for third-party advertising or tracking. The data we collect is limited to what is necessary to provide the Service (including account identification and subscription status) and to improve the app (using anonymized or aggregated analytics where applicable). Your generated content remains on your device. For the App Privacy labels and details displayed on the App Store, we disclose only the data types and purposes described in this policy.

Updates to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technologies, legal requirements, or other factors. When we do, we will revise the "Effective Date" at the top of the policy. In the case of significant changes, we will also provide a more prominent notice of the change, such as a push notification, an alert within the app, or an email notification. Changes to this Privacy Policy will become effective when posted. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically to stay informed about how we are protecting your information. If you continue to use the Service after the updated Privacy Policy has been posted, it means you accept and agree to the changes. If you do not agree with any updates to the Privacy Policy, you should stop using the Service and, if applicable, delete your account.

California Privacy Rights

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA) regarding your personal information:

  • Right to Know: You can request that we disclose to you the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, as well as information about our data practices (such as the categories of sources from which we collected the information, our purpose for collecting or selling information, and the categories of third parties with whom we share personal information).
  • Right to Delete: You can request that we delete personal information that we have collected from you, subject to certain exceptions (for example, if the information is necessary to complete a transaction or for a legal obligation).
  • Right to Opt-Out of Sale/Sharing: You have the right to direct us not to sell your personal information. However, note that we do not sell personal information. We also do not "share" personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as defined in the CPRA. If that ever changes, we will update this policy and provide a means to opt out.
  • Right to Correct: You can request correction of inaccurate personal information that we maintain about you.
  • Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CCPA rights. This means we won't deny you our services, charge you a different price, or provide a different level of quality of service just because you exercised your rights.

To exercise your California privacy rights, you (or your authorized representative) can contact us at info@swaip.ai with your request. We will need to verify your identity (and/or authorization, if you are using an agent) before fulfilling such requests, which may involve asking you to provide information associated with your account or usage of the Service. We aim to respond to verifiable requests within 45 days as required by law. If we need more time (up to an additional 45 days), we will inform you of the reason and extension period in writing. For details about the categories of personal information we collect, the sources, and purposes, please refer to the sections above in this Privacy Policy. Those sections are intended to align with the information required by the CCPA/CPRA for disclosure.

Data Protection Department

If you have any questions specifically about data protection, or if you want to raise a concern or exercise any of your rights, you may contact our Data Protection Officer/Department:

  • Email (Data Protection Inquiries): info@swaip.ai (Please include "Attn: Data Protection Officer" in the subject line for clarity.)

We are committed to working with you to obtain a fair resolution of any privacy concern. If you feel that we have not addressed your concern satisfactorily, you may have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority (for example, in the EU, the Data Protection Authority in your country). We would, however, appreciate the chance to address your concerns before you approach a regulator, so please do reach out to us first.
